The member must be in the vehicle at the time of disablement.
Is
this car insurance?
No. This membership is emergency roadside assistance.

spouse or child is driving my car, are they covered?
If
your spouse or child is on your membership as an associate
member , then yes, they are covered. Your membership covers
you - the PERSON... not the vehicle. Contact your selling agent to
add family members living in your home to your membership.
